Choosing to get a dog (of any breed) is a serious decision. We can't select our dogs like we would our shoes. Choosing what is fashionable at the moment and then tossing them a side when they no longer meet our needs. Taking in a pet is a life long responsibility.

If you are considering taking a pitbull into your home and family then I will ask you to please research this decision. They are amazing dogs whose love and loyalty are un-matched. But...and this is a big BUT, they are not for everyone. This is a breed (including all dogs classified as "pitbulls") that are in serious need of responsible owners.

Every single person who owns (or is owned by) a pitbull has an enormous responsibility to every other pitbull and pitbull owner. Our dogs are under attack from many directions, from the media that completely mis-represents them, BSL, from those who are not properly informed and all the way to the heartless animals who abuse and/or use them for financial gain.

If you are even considering taking one of these angels into your home...PLEASE! Educate yourself first.
